The Nkomazi Local Municipality is a Category B municipality. Nkomazi Local Municipality is located in South Africa, Mpumalanga Province. The municipality is located in-between East of Mozambique and North of Swaziland.
It is also bounded by Kruger National Park to the north and the City of Mbombela Local Municipality to the west. It is the smallest of four municipalities in the district, making up 17% of its geographical area. It is linked with Swaziland by two provincial roads, and with Mozambique by a railway line and the main national road (N4), which forms the Maputo Corridor.
