In celebration of Mandela Day, the Ehlanzeni District Municipality, in collaboration with Nkomazi Local Municipality, hosted a community upliftment event at Tsambokhulu Crèche. In honour of Mandela Month and the spirit of community service, the crèche underwent a transformation, the building, including the roof, was freshly painted, a new JoJo tank stand was installed, and a vegetable garden was planted. In addition, food parcels were donated to support the crèche.

South African Local Government Association (SALGA) Mpumalanga, in collaboration with the Nkomazi Local Municipality, celebrated Mandela Day at the Malalane Uthandiwe Children’s Home.
